MAJicData has an opening for a Limited Energy Network Technician (Contractor License REQUIRED) in the St. Lucie County area. Applicants must be highly motivated and willing to work in a challenging, quickly changing, and diverse entrepreneurial environment.

As our Limited Energy Network Technician you will be responsible for all aspects relating to the networking installation sector of MAJicData, such as but not limited to; installing and working with all types of network cable including Cat5 / Cat6 / Cat7 / Cat8 / Fiber Optic, working with small components to establish cable connections, understanding signal path and flows, using network tools and testing equipment.

This is a fully remote, security sensitive, fast paced, high energy and physically demanding position. Responsibility is key. Candidates need to be able to perform work in a safe manor, and be able to work independently with little to no direction ensuring all equipment and tools are clean and in optimal working condition while following all company policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

Qualified candidates must have an active Florida Limited Energy Contractor License and possess knowledge and experience in data networking installs. Must possess one or more of the following certifications/skills in:

• Active Florida Limited Energy Contractor License (LEL) (REQUIRED)
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record and access to reliable transportation (REQUIRED)
• 2-4 years’ experience with Limited Energy installation is a plus
• Build infrastructure for telecom and data networks, such as Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs)
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain video/data cables and copper/fiber cabling infrastructure
• Choose and verify cable pathways, conduct site surveys for clients, assist in designing, creating and implementing standards and specifications
• Test and troubleshoot installations, install and troubleshoot IP devices, terminate voice and data jacks and distribution frame
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
• Maintain all documents related to cabling infrastructure

Additional Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years college is preferred but not required. Successful candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma or a G.E.D.

Candidates must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to and at times exceeding 30 lbs.

Successful completion of drug and pre-employment background screening tests required upon hire.

Salary:

• Starting Pay: Commensurate with experience $59,700 to $67,500
• Pay Basis: Bi-Monthly
• Positioned to grow with the size and success of the company
